This is the perfect way on how to cook colorful puto for business. The taste is milky, not sweet and not over or undercooked.
Recipe: Perfect Colorful Puto
OPTION 1
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tbsp butter/margarine/ vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
125g cheese
Food color:
1 drop Blue/Green
1 drop red
1 drop yellow
2drops red+1 drop blue
Procedure:
Combine 1 egg, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, 1 tbsp melted butter in a bowl, beat until it's well combined. Add 1/2 cup white sugar mix well to dissolve all the crystals. Sift and add all the remaining dry ingredients (1cup all-purpose flour or cake flour, 1 tsp baking powder). Mix then add 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix well but do not over mix. Using four bowls divide the batter into four equal parts. Add 1 drop each for each color you desired. If you don't have the purple color just combine shades of red and blue depending on how dark or light the color you want. The blue color may turn into green because the butter is light yellow in color, to make it blue add 1 more drop of blue. It's optional to greased the molders with oil or butter. Add the batter into the molders. Preheat the steamer with water until it boils. Set into low fire setting, and steam for 8 minutes. After 8-10 minutes add cheese on top of the muffin, cover, and cook for another 2 minutes. Small to medium sizes can be cook for 8-10 minutes while medium to large can be cook for 10-12 minutes. Check if the muffins are already cooked using a toothpick. Removed the muffins using toothpick or with your clean hands. Becareful not to over squeeze the molders. And it's ready to serve.

OPTION 2 FOR MORE CHEAPER COST OF MATERIAL
Ingredients:
1 cup All purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup milk solution( 1/4cup powdered milk+ 1/8 cup coconut cream powder+ water)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
125g cheese
Food color:
1/2 drop Blue/Green
1/2 drop red
1/2 drop yellow
Food Flavocol:
1/2tsp to 1 tsp ube flavocol
Follow same procedure above but take note with this additional procedures.
For the milk solution
Add combine the milk powder plus coconut cream powder into 1 cup and volume up with water. Mixed well the solution before mixing with other materials.
For Ube flavor plus classic puto:
Divide the batter into 2 parts
Add atleast 1/2tsp of ube flavocol or 1 tsp to make the flavor strong, into one part and other half make it classic or make it with pastel colors.
