Chicken Tinola is also one of the most favorite Filipino meal of all time. People love this meal because of it's chicken broth that is gingery in taste. This meal can be cook using different vegetables as ingredients. Vegetables that can be use for this recipe are malungay, pechay,papaya, sayote and chilli leaves. It is best to combine malunggay leaves and papaya, malunggay and sayote, sayote and chilli leaves, papaya and chilli leaves or even pechay alone. The taste depends on what vegetables you add to it, but what important is the original Tinola taste of the broth. Ingredients:
1/2 medium size onion
2 pcs garlic
3 grams ginger
4 pieces chicken
840ml water
1knorr chicken cubes
2 tbsp fish sauce
chilli leaves
salt to taste
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 30-35 minutes
Total serving: 4 servings
Cooking instructions:
Saute garlic, ginger then onion. Add chicken and cook them untill golden or brownish in color. Add 840 ml of water. Add water 1 at a time so the boiling is fast and consistent. Add 1 knorr chicken broth cubes. After dissolving the chicken broth cubes, cover and let it boil for 10 mins. After 10 minutes add 1 large size sayote, cover and cook for 15 minutes . And finally add the chilli leaves. Cover and cook for 3-5 minutes. Then add salt to taste.
