Recipe: Dark and Creamy White Chocolate Cake
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Total serving: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients:
For Cake:
1 cup flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup hot water
1 tsp instant coffee
1/2 cup full cream milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp vanilla essence
Frosting:
2 (150 grams) dark chocolate
1 (75 grams) creamy white chocolate (toppings)
Procedure:
Sift all the dry ingredients. Combine 1 cup of flour with 1 cup white sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/3 cup cocoa, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix all together. In a separate container, combine 1/3 cup of hot water with instant coffee and 1/2 cup of full cream milk and mix well. Beat 2 eggs and add 1/4 cup vegetable oil and 1 tbsp white vinegar. Add the coffee into the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly before adding the egg mixture. Use a stand mixer or manual mixer to mix until the batter is smooth and don't forget to add some vanilla essence to improve the cake's aroma. Grease the cake molder with butter or margarine as an alternative. But for this recipe, we will use caramel margarine. Pour the batter into a cake molder (7"x 2 ") and tap several times to get rid of the bubbles. Cover the molder with foil. Preheat the steamer for 10 minutes of medium fire. After preheating, steam the batter for 50-60 minutes or until the cake is cooked. Do the toothpick method to check if it's cooked, if it came out clean then it is cooked. Melt the dark chocolate (150 grams) into an improvised double boiler. Assemble the cake and add melted chocolate as frosting. Add some grated creamy white chocolate (75 grams) on top of the cake. Sift cocoa on top of the cake and add more of grated white chocolate, and that's it. Chill before serving.
