Chicken Adobo is the most famous Filipino meal known by other people around the world. It's one of the traditional foods Filipino people serve during get together parties, and the most favorite food of every Filipino especially if they want to eat more rice. It is also a typical meal that Filipino people cook for their lunch and dinner. This is also good as "baon" or the most known food to be kept in a lunch box to bring during Christmas parties or and even when you go hiking because adobo can last for how many days and still taste the same.This kind of meal can be cook salty by adding more soysauce and salt, it is usually hot and salty in taste. If you like to add a little sweetness to it, you can add pineapples chunks or bits which makes this meal liked by more kids.
Ingredients:
6 pcs of boiled chickens
2 medium size potatoes
1 pack of pineapple tidbits
1/3 tbsp ground black pepper
50 ml soysauce
360ml water
Pinch of salt
Preparation time: 10minutes
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes
Total serving: 4-5 servings
Procedures:
First, fry pieces of chicken untill they turned golden brown. Saute ginger, onions and garlic together for 3 minutes. Add 3 cups of water which is about 360ml, add one cup at a time. Then add 40ml of soysauce or more if you like it more salty. Cover and boil for 5 minutes in medium fire. Add 1/3 tbsp ground black pepper. Drain the pineapple tidbits pack and add the pineapples bits. Salt to taste, and cover for 15-20 minutes untill the chicken is cooked and tender enough to eat. And finally it's ready to serve.
