Ingredients:
1 green or red apple
1 medium-size cucumber
1 tsp whole grains black pepper
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp salt(optional)
50 ml apple cider
2 tbsp raisins
Jar (500ml capacity)
Procedure:
1. Cut thinly sliced cucumber or medium size cubes.
2. Cut the apple in a rectangular medium size.
For the brine mixture:
3. In a bowl, add 2.5 cups (300ml) water.
4. Add pepper, sugar, and the raisins.
5. Add 50 ml white vinegar or apple cider or white wine.
Note: You can make your own desired ratio for vinegar, sugar, and salt depending on your taste preference.
6. Heat the brine mixture on low fire until all particles dissolved.
7. Put apples and cucumbers in the jar.
8. Fill the jar into the brine mixture make sure the fruits are well submerged in the brine.
9. Refrigerate after being cooled at room temperature.
