No Yeast Donuts

Recipe name: Sugar Donuts w/out Yeast  Preparation time: 1 hour  Cooking time: 2-3  minutes  per batch If you're the type of person who doesn't like the taste of yeast in your donuts, this donut recipe will be a good option for you. Ingredients: 4 cups all purpose flour 3/4 cup powdered sugar 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup milk powder  Water for buttermilk solution 1 tbsp white vinegar 2 eggs 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tbsp vanilla essence Procedure:   Preparation of liquid ingredients: To make an alternative for buttermilk, add milk powder in a 1 cup then volume up with water until it's full. Chicken Arroz Caldo

  Chicken arroz caldo also called "kaning lugaw" in Tagalog or "rice porridge" in English.  It is a budget friendly meal where it is one of the basic meals served during the feeding programs for the poor and homeless people. It is also serve in evacuation centers at times of calamities and a perfect meal to serve for sick people. This is also serve when the  weather is cold especially during Ber months, this is good for people living in places with winter season. This recipe is also slightly the same as gotto but the difference is it's added with more rice and chicken and also it's not yellow in color. All  people can cook it because it's very  easy. When cooking rice  porridge glutinous  rice  is always best to use as the main ingredient  but in this recipe  we will use cooked cold rice or "kaning lamig" in tagalog, this is to minimize leftovers and avoid wasting our foods.


Ingredients:
2 cloves of garlic
1 medium size onion
3 grams ginger
2 Knorr Chicken Cubes
2 full cups of cold cooked rice
Boiled Chicken Strips
1 tbsp fish sauce
Pinch of salt
1/4 tbsp ground black pepper

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
Total serving: 4-5 servings

     Saute ginger first for 2 minutes  untill golden brown. Add  chicken strips , fry it a little to make them brownish in color. Saute garlic and onions for  atleast 1 minute. Add 2 full cups of  cooked cold rice. Add 3 cups (1080ml) of water and bring to boil for 5 minutes. After that, add 2 pieces of Knorr cubes. Add 1/4 tbsp ground black pepper and 1 tbsp fish sauce and salt to taste. Set burner into low fire and boil it for atleast 20 minutes. Remember the softer the rice the better. Also check and stir every two minutes to avoid the rice from getting  burned at the bottom of the  casserole.  Add boiled eggs or fried chicken skin as toppings (optional).
